It’s a GREAT day to be a COOSA EAGLE, and it is indeed an honor to be the principal of COOSA HIGH SCHOOL! Here at Coosa High School we are committed to “Nothing Less Than EXCELLENCE!” Attain SUCCESS “earn you wings to fly high.” We encourage our students to live out their EXCELLENCE and to develop a passion for EXCELLENCE over mediocrity, in all things - academics, activities, athletics and the arts. We also encourage all students to develop academic courage - to be tenacious in their studies, to develop a strong daily work ethic, and to be the best YOU they can be.

The faculty and staff are committed to providing students with an enriching and challenging experience while in high school - an experience that will prepare them for the many opportunities that await them post high school graduation. As the principal of Coosa High School please join me in promoting and expecting EXCELLENCE / SUCCESS for all Coosa stakeholders.

Mr. Cox graduated from Model High School. In 2002, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from Jacksonville State University in Interrelated Special Education. He earned his Masters of Education degree from Walden University in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment and his Educational Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Educational Leadership.

He has been a part of the Floyd County Schools for 20 years. He has taught special education at Armuchee Middle, Coosa High, and Pepperell High. He has previously coached basketball and football at Coosa High and Pepperell High. He is very pleased to be here to continue to serve the Coosa community!

Mrs. Kristen Martin

Mrs. Kristen Martin is an esteemed member of the educational community at Coosa High School, where she serves as Assistant Principal. Her journey in education began in Bartow County, where she dedicated eleven years to teaching mathematics at Adairsville High School. Mrs. Martin's leadership skills led her to administrative roles, first as Assistant Principal at Clear Creek Elementary School for two years, followed by a four-year tenure at Cass High School.

Embracing the spirit of Eagle Nation, Mrs. Martin transitioned to Coosa High School, where she has been warmly welcomed into the community. A native of Bartow County, she is a proud alumna of Woodland High School's inaugural graduating class. Mrs. Martin's academic credentials are impressive, with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics from Shorter College, a Masters in Math Education, and a Specialist degree in Teaching & Learning from Piedmont College. She furthered her education with an additional Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Berry College.

Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Martin is a dedicated family woman, sharing her life with her husband Matt, and their two sons, Tyler and AJ. Her commitment to education and leadership is evident in her approach to fostering excellence within the school and supporting the success of every student.

Mr. Ian Crawley

Mr. Crawley is proud to have 31 years in education. He began his career at St.Catherines's Academy in Mount Carmel, Newfoundland, Canada, then continued his teaching career with twelve years at Tift County High School in Tifton, GA and fifteen years at Model High School in Rome, GA. He has taught several courses of study, coached a number of sports and been thankful for each experience along the way that has led him where he is today.


Crawley is in his first year of administrative service and is happy to be leading at Coosa High School. He received aBA (Economic Geography/English Literature) and BEd (Secondary/Ed.Psych) from Memorial University of Newfoundland in St.John's Newfoundland, Canada, MA-Ed (Curriculum and Technology) Online, and finally an Ed.S in Educational Leadership from Berry College, Mount Berry, Georgia. He is happily married to Jennifer and father to Cody, Amber, Bethany, and Jessie. He is from Holyrood, Newfoundland Canada and moved to Tifton, Georgia in 1996. He lived there until 2008 and has been in Rome ever since.
