December Activities at LaMoine Tuesday Night Wastewater Classic League Survey Standings as of The holidays are busy for everyone, and LaMoine Christian Nursing Home is no exception. December was packed with fun activities. We kicked off the month with our annual Christmas Card Sale.

Auxiliary members donate Christmas cards that residents purchase for one penny each. On sale day the cards are all on display, and the residents do the shopping. They really enjoy selecting cards and the whole shopping experience. The monthly birthday party was held December 8 and hosted by the Bushnell Christian Church. Bushnell Christian Church volunteers brought Christmas cupcakes, ice-cream and gifts for all the residents with December birthdays.

Minister Terry Broady gave a piano concert of beautiful Christmas carols for all to enjoy. The birthday table was decorated with a lovely bouquet, courtesy of Janet Bradshaw of Roseville Flower and Gifts, who donates a floral arrangement for the birthday table each month. Mrs. Eloise Swisher had invited the residents to come to her home for Christmas Tea, so on December 13 Activity Director Karen Anderson and Activity Assistant Louise Pratt took several residents to Mrs. Swishers home for desert and coffee.

Everyone enjoyed sitting and visiting, and seeing Mrs. Swishers beautiful home, and they especially enjoyed seeing Mrs. Swishers puppy Teddy. Santa made his annual visit on December 14. Local doctors Wagman and Wagman and their staff come to LaMoine every year as Santa Claus and elves.

They visit each resident to wish them a Merry Christmas and give them a candy cane. Santa was greeted with big smiles and hugs as he Ho, Ho, Hod from room to room. The Wagmans also brought two large boxes of gifts that their patients had donated for our residents. Our annual resident Christmas Party, always a special event, was held on December 16. Residents families are invited to attend and enjoy refreshments and entertainment.

This year over 100 guests joined our 74 residents for Christmas cakes, ice cream, and a concert of Christmas music by George and Sandy Campbell of Roseville. And Santa Claus made another appearance to deliver Christmas gifts to each resident. Of course, the month was filled with favorite Christmas movies and sing-a-longs. Groups of carolers from several area churches came to sing for the residents, and as they went through the halls caroling residents joined in and had a great time. Also, on December 15 Roseville High School music teacher Joan Blindt brought the high school band in to play Christmas songs for the residents, and on December 19 the Roseville Christian Church Hand Bell Choir gave a concert.

These concerts were such special treats! And on December 31 the residents ushered in the New Year with a pizza party. Special events coming up in January include the monthly birthday party on January 28, hosted by Roseville Christian Church, and an Open House for staff and residents for the new Activity Room and Shady Nook, with a public Open House to follow. The goal of this planning effort is to prevent the spread of communicable disease and reduce the adverse environmental impact that is potentially created when densely populated areas improperly dispose of domestic sewage. The plan of action for the Health Department consisted of two phases. Phase I of the plan was a prioritization of factors within unsewered Knox County communities. As a result of that prioritization, Soangetaha West Subdivision and properties along Fairway Road have been identified to have an on site wastewater disposal needs assessment conducted. Phase II will be the Health Department personnel conducting surveys asking homeowners for information on their individual private sewage disposal systems.

This report will be presented to residents of the planning area. For more information, contact the Knox County Health Department at (309) 344 2224. Schwinn Force By Bowflex, Starting at $49999 Fitness Benches from $97 50 110 lb. Weight Set 300 lb. Weight Set $15000 Jr.
