@OptimumHelp I performed all these steps, . After speaking with a rep by phone, he said the box is "dead" and suggested that I return the box to the optimum store for a replacement. Hopefully, I'll be credited for the 2 days without service. Thanks for your response.

I am also having this issue w/ @optimum — I asked what to do to return my equipment since going to their retail stores or the post office would be against local public health guidelines and they responded by telling me to go to one of their retail stores or the post office

@Nattleberry @OptimumHelp Hey Nathalie! Hope all's well otherwise. So sorry you're dealing with this! I actually had my situation resolved this past Friday. I had to trek over the outlet to switch the box. Call them again & make sure to request credit for the time you've list due to faulty service.

@wnbc @CBSNews @cnn @ABC people need wifi to work, to stay connected and to keep their sanity yet @optimum has done nothing to alleviate the increasingly poor service that is ESSENTIAL in nyc and everywhere else even though we're still paying a fortune for it.

It’s been 5 business days w/ very slow internet speed. It’s been 48 hours since our initial call w/ @optimum @OptimumHelp, and we have not received a call back (like promised). I called customer service again this morning, and there still was no clear answer.

Again, the customer service team is great and just doing their job, & I imagine things are tough w/ our current state. But @optimum @OptimumHelp should be providing customers w/ transparency as to what is causing the slow internet speed in the area & somewhat of an ETA to fix.

@Nattleberry @OptimumHelp Agreed. I don't work from home right now, which is the only reason I was able to make my way to Optimum. Hopefully they'll send a technician to you in a timely fashion; otherwise, they'll have to credit you for ALL of the time wasted without service.

Always amazing when the local internet @optimum "service" has a monopoly. Upgraded our service from usable, to very fast to drop 5 times daily. Still haven't gotten that @AlticeUSA Box that we were supposed to. But hey, when there's no competition, why try harder?

@OptimumHelp we lost internet connection last night and it's still out this morning so my wife cannot do her job (she works from home). Customer service is telling us earliest a tech can come is Thursday. This is not acceptable as my wife is losing money not being able to work
