Summer Series: We have now reached the halfway stage of our Series. So far we have had a great reaction to the new tournament with great numbers participating each Tuesday and Saturday. The qualifiers for the Grand final on Friday September 6 (note, change of date) are beginning to take shape with the top 15 in each category now becoming very competitive. Visitors have an extra opportunity to qualify through the main categories and seven top visitor scores automatically getting through.
Friday Mixed Scramble: We have now run this competition for each of the last six weeks. All are welcome to join in, just walk into the restaurant area and sign up and you will be assigned a team. Its a great way to meet other members and get your weekend off to a fun start. First team tees off at 5.30pm.

Men’s Golf: The Carroll Cup was played over the weekend. This is one of our most prestigious competitions. It is to the memory of the late Pat Carroll RIP. The competition is sponsored by his brother John and all proceeds go to Tipperary Hospice. Ladies Golf: Our Tuesday morning scramble was deferred due to a lot of the ladies supporting pink day in Thurles. Tuesday scramble continues as normal.
Our medal competition the 3T.s held June 9th & 12th was wone by Isobel Hayes (17.3) 41pts. 2nd Caroline Maher (14.1) 42pts. Gross Sheena Ryan (13.4) 21 gross pts. 3rd Marie Graves (36.2) 40 pts. The winner will play in the K-club with the men’s club winner and our two Captains later in the year.
The results of our 9-hole qualifier June 13th were; 1st Rosemary Shanahan (36.2) 19 pts. 2nd Anne Grace (31.9) 18pts, Gross Sheena Ryan (13.8) 9 gross points.
Our Women’s Minor Foursomes team were playing in the quarter final of the Munster East division against Monkstown last Sunday June 16. The team on the day was Jacinta Coman & Marie Graves, Catherine O’Halloran & Rosemary Shanahan, Caroline O’Dwyer & Elizabeth Hayes, Niamh Chadwick & Lady Captain Mary O’Donnell, the reserve pairings were, Teresa Canny & Judy Hayes, Anne Grace & Kay Crosse. We put up a good fight but in the end the Result was Monkstown 2.5 Dundrum 1.5. Thanks to Managers Mary Hickey and Judy Hayes.
