Football Announces Class Of 2024 - Wayne State University Athletics (2024)

DETROIT-- The Wayne State University football program, under the direction of second-year head coach Tyrone Wheatley, has signed 29student-athletes to a National Letter of Intent. Additional signees and mid-year transfers will be added to the list in the upcoming days.

The offensive recruiting class consists of one quarterback(Jaeden Meeks), one running back(Damien Brockington), threewide receivers(Donovan Isaac, Kristian Kilpatrick and Raymond Payne), and fouroffensive linemen (T'yon Atkins, Karl Brooks, Mikey O'Brien and Richardo Wourman), plus athlete M'Khi Guy.

The 19defensive players signed include 10defensive backs (Amarion Brownlee, Phil Cato, Kam Coleman, Amauri Haller, Amire Harris, Kaleb Jefferson,Jasir Rahaman, Joseph Stephens,Da'Carion Taylor and DeCarlos White), sevendefensive linemen(Hussein Albarkat, Jad Bazzi, Elijah Carter, Aydin Johnson, Roshaun McGee,Jordan Stefanidesand Raevon Strong), andtwo linebackers(Jawaun Harmon and Gavin Troy).
