PRINCIPAL, 2024- 2025 School Year Elementary, Middle, and High School Levels The Principal serves as the instructional leader for the school and is an integral part of the school community for he/she serves.
Requirements And Essential Functions
Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience in a public school setting;
Minimum of three (3) years serving in an Assistant Administrator/Principal role;
Masters' Degree required; Specialist Degree preferred. Must commit to complete the Specialist degree if selected for the position;
Must hold or be eligible for the Georgia Educator Certificate in Educational Leadership as issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission;
Must possess the ability and knowledge to implement school system policies, curriculum and instruction programs throughout the school, and develop a collaborative school improvement plan focused on essential skills, goals, and student achievement;
Must have a strong understanding of school level budgets and planning;
Must possess strong and effective communication skills, oral and written for interaction with students, staff, parents, and the community;
Must be able to foster the success of students and staff through professional standards and ethics;
Must model a process of shared decision making and respect and promote a positive school culture;
Must follow federal, state, and local policies and procedures in all functions of accountability as the school leader.
